Nobel Piece of Afghanistan
December 12, 2009There is a plan
For Afghanistan
Called “Thirty thousand more troops.”
Our young and brave
Will be filling graves
Of poor farmers for American suits.
Collateral damage
From our rampage
Is unfortunate, but let’s see the context;
Innocents die
And mourners cry
For our military industrial complex.
“Make no mistake,
Our security breaks
For trans-nationals and energy looters,
A gas pipeline
Is really designed
For our appetite amidst Taliban shooters.
We cannot cower
At Taliban power
Or al Qaeda who recruits more fans,
We must be firm
And never learn
That we don’t own Afghanistan.
“We cannot say
A civil war’s underway,
But there’s a lot of internal fighting;
Let’s help them lead
By letting them bleed,
But that’s not in my script I’m reciting.”
The Nobel Piece Man’s
Trans-national plan
Will liberate their energy resources.
And come what may
For our new LBJ,
History keeps repeating these courses.
